A free 15 minute phone consultation is offered to answer any questions you may have and to see if the therapist-client relationship can be a good fit.

What is the price, length and frequency of individual sessions?

An individual session fee is $175. Sessions are 50 minutes and take place weekly or bi-weekly.

Is there a sliding scale?

Yes, there are a limited amount of sliding scale options. This means I can offer lower fees based on financial need. Your mental health is important. Please ask for more information in our consultation and I will let you know if this is possible for our work together.

Is there a cancellation policy?

Yes. If you need to cancel an appointment, there is a requirement of 24 hours notice in advance. Otherwise, you will be charged the session fee for that appointment.

Is insurance accepted?

If your insurance plan provides out-of-network mental mental health coverage, please feel free to contact me and I can check your benefits. I can also provide a monthly statement which you may submit to your insurance company for partial reimbursement.

Additionally, if your employer provides a "flex account" or a Health Savings Account (HSA), you may be eligible for reimbursement from that account.

What is a “Good Faith Estimate” under the No Surprises Act?

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, commonly known as the No Surprises Act, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. It is recommended that once you receive your good faith estimate you keep a copy for your records or take a picture for future reference. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call HHS at 1-800-985-3059
